- THE JUDGEMENTS – [הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים] – meaning RULES – from the root word for JUDGE…
- They were NOT meant to be enforced by the people – God would give to them JUDGES…
- The purpose of these civil laws was to bring ORDER and SAFETY to the nation of Israel…
- To set them APART from the rest of the world as a just and fair nation – the people of God!
- FIVE different categories – Servants / Violence / Animals / Property / Morals

1^st – THREE Laws for JUDGES… vs. 1-9
1^st– tatlo ka kasuguan sang hukom..vs. 1-9
- God continues to tell Israel His LAWS regarding the rules to govern a SOCIETY…
- Ang Ginoo nagpadayon sa paghambal sang Iya KASUGUAN sa mga Israelinhun nahanungod sa pag dumala sa paggahom sang SYUDAD….
- But the best laws are only as good as the rulers / judges who enforce them…
- Pero ang pinakamaayo nga kasuguan pareho sa maayo nga manugdumala/hukom nga ipatuman sa ila…
- God now gives the LAWS to govern the JUDGES who enforce them!
- Subong ang Ginoo naghatag sang KASUGUAN sa pagdumala sang HUKOM sa pagpatuman sa ila!
- Proverbs 29:2 – “When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan
- Hulubaton 29:2- ‘Kon ang matarong ang magdumala, nagakalipay ang mga tawo. Peru kon ang mga malaot gani, nagakasubo sila.
- 1^st – Do not be a false witness… vs. 1
- 1^st-Indi magsaksi sing binutig…vs1
  - Do NOT circulate a FALSE report – NEVER [אַל] put your hand in with the wicked…
  - INDI pagtikua ang SALA nga pagpanugid- INDI pagbutang ang imo kamot sa mga maluya..
  - This is not dealing so much with telling a lie – as it is a false testimony in court…

  - The EXCUSES given to justify the actions of those who are guilty…
  - Ang PAGBALIBAD gahatag ini sa pagkamatarong sa ginhimo kon sin-o ang nakasala…
  - The following have all been used to successfully acquit criminals in court…
  - Sa masunod ginagamit lang nila nga magmadinalag-on para ma mapaguwa ang kriminal sa korte..
  - The TWINKIE defense – depression and junk food caused a man to commit murder…
  - Ang TWINKIE nga depensa-depresyon kag ang wala sustansiya nga pagkaon maka apekto sa tawo sa pagtugyan sa pagpatay…
  - The sleepwalking defense – violent acts and crimes committed – while asleep…
  - Ang SLEEPWALKING nga depensa-bayolente nga buhat kag krimen nga nahimo-samtang naga katulog…
  - The full moon defense – committing a crime under the influence of the full moon!
  - Ang UGSAD NGA BULAN nga depensa- paghimo sang krimen sa idalom sang impluwensia sa ugsad nga bulan!
  - When common sense / TRUTH is perverted – there is no longer any justice…
  - Ang sentido kumon/ KAMATUORAN ginpatiko- wala na sing bisan ano nga hustisya….
  - It should not be a surprise when people make ridiculous EXCUSES for their sin…
  - Indi ini dapat nangin sorpresa kon ang tawo gahimo sang pagpanuya nga BALIBAD sa ila sala….
  - People will say anything to get themselves out of trouble…
  - Ang tawo magahambal sang bisan ano para makalikaw sila sa gamo…
  - But when the rulers / JUDGES of the people start to listen – justice evaporates!
  - Pero kon ang mga manugdumala/ mga HUKOM sang mga tawo magasugod sa pagpamati-ang hustisya magadula!
- 2^nd – Do not follow the crowd… vs. 2
- 2^nd– Indi magsunod sa kadam-an….vs.2
  - You shall NOT follow the crowd – turn after the crowd – and PERVERT justice…
  - INDI kamo magsunod sa kadam-an-magtalikod sa kadam-an- kag sa GINPATIKO nga hustisya…
  - One of the quickest ways to pervert justice – is to bend to popular opinion!
  - Isa sa madali nga pamaagi sa pagtiko sang hustisya- amo ang pagpaayon sa kilala nga opinyon!
  - Pilate washed his hands of Jesus INNOCENT blood – Matthew 27:24
  - Si Pilato naghugas sang iya mga kamot kay Jesus sa INOSENTE nga dugo- Mateo 27:24
  - Symbolic – but not true – Pilate was accountable for his actions…
  - Simbulo-pero indi matuod-Si pilato may salabton sa iya ginhimo…..
  - He chose to please the crowds – rather than do what he knew was right!
  - Iya gin pili nga malipay ang kadam-an- kaysa paghimo sang iya nahibaluan nga insakto!
  - When a RULER has to check opinion polls before stating their decision – a nation is LOST…
  - Kon ang mga MANUGDUMALA mag usisa sang opinyon antes mag hatag sang ila desisyon-ang nasyon MAWALA….
  - It does not matter what MEN think – only what God SAYS…
  - Indi importante kon anon pinsaron sang TAWO- kon ano lang ang ginHAMBAL sang GINOO!
  - A righteous / fair JUDGE must rule in favor of the TRUTH – no matter what people think!
  - Ang matarong/ patas nga PAGHUKOM amo ang maga pangibabaw sa KAMATUORAN-bisa ano pa ang pinsaron sang tawo!
- 3^rd – Do not show partiality – in SIX ways… vs. 3-9
- 3^rd-Indi magpakita sang pinilian- sa ANUM ka pamaagi… vs.3-9
  - Do NOT show PARTIALLY to a POOR man… vs. 3
  - INDI magpakita nga may PINILIAN sa IMOL nga tawo…vs.3
  - PARTIALLY – to show HONOR or preference to one person over another!
  - PAGPASULABI – gapakita sang PAGPASIDUNGOG ukon pinilian sa isa ka tawo kontra sa isa!
  - A judge was NOT to look at the person – someone is not RIGHT just because they are POOR!
  - Ang paghukom INDI sa pagtulok sa tawo- isa nga indi INSAKTO kay tungod sila IMOL!
  - Leviticus 19:15 – “You shall not be partial to the poor, NOR honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge [EVEN] your neighbo
  - Leviticus 19 19:15- “Dapat husto kag matarong ang inyo nga paghukom sa korte; indi ninyo pagpaburan ang manggaranon ukon imol.”
  - Be KIND to your ENEMY… vs. 4-5
  - Mangin MAAYO sa imo KAAWAY….vs.4-5
  - If you see the ox / donkey of someone who HATES you – going astray / overburdened…
  - Kon makita moang baka/donkey sang isa ka tawo nga naga KAINIT sa imo- nga nagatalang/kag gakabug-atan…
  - The natural inclination is to SMILE – serves him right – and do NOTHING to help…
  - Ang normal nga himuun mag YUHOM- serbisyohe siya sang insakto- kag WALA sing himuon…
  - Yet when we do – we are standing in JUDGEMENT of our ENEMY!
  - Pero kon himuon ta-maga tindog kita sa HUKMANAN sang aton KAAWAY!
  - Romans 12:19-20 – “Do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written - Vengeance is Mine I will repay – says the Lord. Therefore if your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
  - Roma 12: 19-20 – “Indi gid kamo magbalos; kundi sa baylo pabayai ang Dios; kon sila ginagutom, pakauna; kon ginauhaw, paimna..
  - We do NOT have the best JUDGEMENT with people who we would call our ENEMIES…
  - WALA kita sing pinakamaayo nga PAGHUKOM sa tawo nga ginatawag naton nga KAAWAY…
  - Likely as not we will be overly HARSH with our treatment of them…
  - Pareho nga indi kita nangin tuman ka MAPINTAS sa aton nga pagpabulong sa ila…
  - Instead – God will be the one to JUDGE – He alone can fairly JUDGE the HEARTS of men…
  - Sa baylo- Ang Ginoo amo ang mag HUKOM- Siya langgid ang patas nga mag HUKOM sa TAGIPUSUON sang tawo…
  - He then commands us to LOVE our ENEMIES – hopefully drawing them to Jesus!
  - Siya ang magamando sa aton nga HIGUGMAON ang aton KAAWAY- nagalaom nga dal-on sila palapit kay Jesus!
  - Do NOT pervert the JUSTICE of the POOR… vs. 6
  - INDI pagtikua ang HUSTISIYA sang IMOL…Vs..6
  - Often it seems as though finding JUSTICE depends on MONEY…
  - Kis a sa pag pangita sang HUSTISIYA naga dependi sa KWARTA…
  - The more MONEY you have – the better lawyer you can afford…
  - Kon damo ka KWARTA – mas makakuha ka sang mas maayo nga abogado..
  - The more MONEY you have – the more influential you friends…
  - Kon damo ka KWARTA- mas ma impluwesiyahan ka sang imo abyan..
  - The JUDGES were not to show preference to the RICH over the POOR!
  - Ang pag HUKOM wala nagapakita sang pagpasulabi sa mga MANGGARANON kontra sa mga IMOL!
  - James 2:3-4 – “If you give special attention… to the rich person – but you say to the poor… sit on the floor… this discrimination show[s] that your… guided by evil motives…” [NLT]
  - Santiago 2:3-4 -”Kon palabihon ninyo ang tawo nga nagabayo sang malahalon kag hatagan ninyo sing maayo nga pulungkuan, pero ang imol patindugon lang ninyo, ukon papungkuon lang sa salog.
  - It should not matter if someone is RICH or POOR – the TRUTH is still the TRUTH…
  - Indi importante kon MANGGARANON ukon IMOL- ang KAMATUORAN maga pabilin nga KAMATUORAN…
  - RICH and POOR should be treated as EQUALS when it comes to the LAW!
  - MANGGARANON kag IMOL pagatratuhon nga PATAS kon mag abot na sa KASUGUAN!
  - Do not condemn the INNOCENT… vs. 7
  - Indi pagkondinara ang mga INOSENTE…vs.7
  - NEVER [אַל] kill the INNOCENT of RIGHTEOUS – God will NOT justify the WICKED!
  - INDI pagpatya ang INOSENTE sa PAGKAMATARONG-ang Ginoo WALA nagapakatarong sa MALAOT!
  - If there is a crime – people look for justice – someone to blame…
  - Kon may ara sang krimen-ang tawo naga pangita sang hustisya- may ara nga basulon…
  - If the guilty person is powerful or rich – sometimes a PATSY takes the blame!
  - Kon ang nakasala nga tawo makakagahom ukon manggaranon- kis a ang tawo nga NAKASALA ga pangita sang balasulon!
  - Proverbs 17:15 – “The Lord despises those who acquit the guilty – condemn the innocent.”
  - Hulubaton 17:15-“Ginakangil-aran sang Ginoo ang tawo nga nagasentensya nga silutan ang wala sing sala ukonn nagasentensya nga hilwayon ang may sala.
  - Do not accept a bribe… vs. 8
  - Indi mag batun sang pagsuhol.vs .8
  - Do NOT accept a GIFT – it BLINDS the wise / PERVERTS the righteous!
  - Indi magbaton sang REGALO- maka PABULAG sa maalam/naga PATIKO sa matarong!
  - The Philippines is rated 138 out of 180 countries for the worst corruption…
  - Ang Pilipinas nagataas sang 138 halin sa 180 ka pungsod nga pinakakorap..
  - On average – in 1 in 4 encounters with police – people are asked for a bribe…
  - Sa kabilugan- 1 sa 4 nga nakasugata sa pulis-mga tawo nga nagapangayo sang pagsuhol…
  - 100 billion pesos – 13% of the annual GDP – is lost to bribes every year!
  - 100 billion pesos-13% sa katuigan nga GDP-naga kadula sa pagsuhol kada tuig!
  - Every new politician runs on the platform of removing corruption – only to be CORRUPTED!
  - Kada may bag-o nga politiko nagapadalagan sa ila plataporma nagakuha sang korapsyon- para lang mangin KORAP!
  - When people fear being pulled over by the police – because you do NOT have any money
  - Kon ang tawo nahadlok nga butungon kontra sa pulis- tungud WALA ka ni isa nga kwarta
  - When a people or a nation – are allowed to receive BRIBES – there is NO justice!
  - Kon ang tawo ukon ang nasyon- pasugtan nga magbaton sang PAGSUHOL-WALA sing hustisya!
  - Proverbs 17:23 – “The WICKED accept secret bribes to pervert justice.”
  - Hulobaton 17:23- Ang MALAIN nga tawo nagabaton sang”suhol para indi mahatag ang hustisya.
  - Do NOT oppress a STRANGER… vs. 9
  - INDI pagpigusa ang mga PANGAYAW….vs.9
  - Because Israel knew the heart of a STRANGER – they were STRANGERS in Egypt!
  - Tungod ang Israelinhun nakabalo sang tagipusuon sang mga PANGAYAW- sila mga PANGAYAW sa Egipto!!
  - The JUDGES were not to show preference to someone they KNEW…
  - Ang pag HUKOM wala nagpakita sang pagpasulabi sa tawo nga KILALA nila…
  - If you KNOW the right people – giving special FAVOR…
  - Kon may NAHIBALUAN ka sa insakto nga tawo- magahatag sang espesyal nga PABOR..
  - Justice should be BLIND to who you are – only seeing what you have DONE!
  - Ang hustisya mangin BULAG kon sin-o kagid- nagapakita lang kon ano ang imo GINHIMO!
  - The image of JUSTICE – woman holding a scale – is blindfolded…
  - Ang imahe sang HUSTISYA-babayi nga ga-uyat sang kilohan- nga may tabon….
  - It does NOT matter – poor man from the mountain / or President of the Philippines!
  - INDI importante- pigado nga tawo halin sa bukid/ukon Presidente sang Pilipinas!
  - God is not a respecter of person Acts 10:34 / Romans 2:11
  - Ang Ginoo wala sing pinilian sa mga tawo Binuhatan 10:34 / Roma 2:11
  - Pray for the leaders – JUDGES…
  - Pangamuyuan ang mga Pangulo- HUKOM..
  - We wonder if there will ever be real JUSTICE – perhaps NOT with men in power…
  - Nagakatingala kita nga kon may ara pa bala sing matuud nga HUSTISYA- ayhan INDI sa tawo nga may ikasarang..
  - But ultimately God will JUDGE – fairly and righteously – the actions of all men…
  - Peru sa ulihi ang Ginoo maga HUKOM- Patas kag matarong- sa binuhatan sang tanan nga tawo..
  - Pray for those who are LEADERS – those entrusted with the JUSTICE of the nation…
  - Pangamuyuan ang mga PANGULO- sa tanan nga nagasalig sang HUSTISYA sa nasyon…
  - Pray they will be righteous God-fearing rulers – who LISTEN to and OBEY God…
  - Pangamuyuan nga sila mangin matarong nga mahinadlukon nga manugdumala sa Ginoo- nga NAGAPAMATI kag NAGASUNOD sa Ginoo..
  - Pray because if they are NOT – they will be held accountable – James 3:1
  - Pangamuyuan naton sila kay kon indi- sila may salabton-Santiago 3:1
2^nd – Sabbaths and feasts… vs. 10-19
2^nd– Inugpahuway kag ang piesta…vs.10-19
- 1^st – The SABBATH year… vs. 10-11
- 1^st– Ang INUGPAHUWAY nga tuig…vs.10-19
  - God concludes the FIRST giving of the LAW with SABBATHS and FESTIVALS…
  - And Ginoo naghimo sang na UNA sa paghatag sang LAYI sa INUGPAHUWAY kag PIESTAHAN…
  - SIX years you will sow the land – but the SEVENTH year you shall let it REST…
  - ANOM ka tuig nga magatanom sa duta- pero sa ika PITO ka tuig ikaw maga PAHUWAY….
  - In the SEVENTH year you could not – plow / plant / weed / or harvest!
  - Sa ika PITO nga tuig indi ka-mag arado/magtanum/hilamon/ukon mag ani!
  - For the 490 years Israel was in the Land – they never did honor the SABBATH year…
  - Kay ang 490 ka tuig sang Israelinhun ara sa duta- wala nila ginpasidunggan ang INUGPAHUWAY nga tuig..
  - Therefore – God let Israel be captive in Babylon for 70 years – II Chronicles 36:21
  - Gani- ginpasugtan sang Ginoo nga pagadakpon ang Israelinhun sang taga Babylon sa 70 katuig– II Cronica 36:21
  - Giving the Land the 70 Sabbaths that Israel had failed to give to it!
  - Ang paghatag sang duta 70 ka pagpahuway nga ang mga Israelinhun napaslaw sa paghatag sini!
  - Lesson learned – better to obey and follow the commands of God NOW rather than LATER!
  - Aton matun-an- Mas maayo ang pagtuman kag pagsunod sa mando sang Ginoo SUBONG kay sa KARON!
  - The WELFARE system of God…
  - Ang KAAYUHAN nga sistema sang Ginoo…..
  - On the SEVENTH year the poor could harvest – and the animals could eat – whatever grew…
  - Sa ika PITO nga tuig ang mga imol maka ani-kag ang mga sapat maka kaon-ang bisan ano matubo…
  - The SABBATH year was part of how God took care of the poor and needy!
  - Ang INUGPAHUWAY nga tuig parte kon paano ang Ginoo nagkabalaka sa mga imol kag sa mga nagakinahanglan!
  - The point being those who are able – should help out those who are in need!
  - Ang punto kon sin-u ang may ikasarang- dapat nga magbulig sa mga naga kinahanglan!
  - Acts 20:35 – “It is more blessed to give than to receive."
  - Binuhatan 20:35– “Mas maayo ang nagahatag sang sa nagabaton.
  - God PROVIDED for the Sabbath year…
  - “Ang Dios magHIMUNO sa Inugpahuway nga tuig…
  - The natural question – what happens to those who can NOT plant / harvest!
  - Ang natural nga pamangkot- ano ang maatabo sa mga tawo nga WALA nagtanom/nag-ani!
  - Leviticus 25:20-21 – “What will we eat during the seventh year… I [God] will order my blessing for you in the sixth year, so the land will produce a bumper crop, enough to support you for THREE years.”
  - Leviticus 25:20-21- ”Ano ang pagakaunon sa ikapito nga tuig…ako[Ginoo] maga bendisyon sa inyo sa ikaanom nga tuig, para makapatubas ini sing madamo nga kalan-on nga para sa TATLO ka tuig.
  - Those who do give / bless the poor who have nothing – through the SABBATH year…
  - Sa tanan nga naghatag /nagpakamaayo sa mga imol nga walawala-paagi sa INUGPAHUWAY nga tuig…
  - Will be blessed beyond measure – THREE YEARS food – they will lack for nothing at all!
  - Kita pakamaayuhon sobra pa sa indi matakus- TATLO KATUIG nga pagkaon- indi sila makulangan hasta san-o!
  - Luke 6:38 – “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full… running over… The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”
  - Lucas 6:38– “Maghatag,kay ikaw magabaton.Ang imo padya maga balik sa imo sing bug-os…. naga awas awas…Ang bili nga imo igahatag maga detirminar sang presyo nga magbalik sa imo.”
  - When we give to others – we will lose nothing – we will end up far more blessed!
  - Kon maghatag kita sa iban- wala sang may madula sa aton- sa katapusan pakamaayuhon pagid kita!
- 2^nd – the SABBATH day… vs. 12-13
- 2^nd– Ang INUGPAHUWAY nga adlaw…vs.12-13
  - SIX days you shall do your work – on the SEVENTH day you shall REST…
  - Sa ANOM ka adlaw mag obra kamo sang inyo nga ulobrahon- sa ika PITO nga adlaw MAGPAHUWAY kamo …
  - Two reasons to give a REMINDER of the FOURTH command – Exodus 20:8-10
  - Duwa ka rason nga magahatag sa aton sang PAGHANUMDOM sa ika APAT nga sugo– Exodus 20:8-10
  - Give a day of REST to your workers – animals!
  - Maghatag sang adlaw nga inug PAHUWAY sa imo trabahador-kasapatan!
  - It is easy for us to want to take a REST – but we also need to be considerate of others!
  - Mahapos sa aton kon gusto naton mag PAHUWAY- pero kinanglan nato ikonsiderar ang iban!
  - Do NOT mention the names of other gods…
  - INDI magsambit sang ngalan sang iban nga dios…
  - Be CIRCUMSPECT (guard against) – make no mention of the names of other gods!
  - Mangin MAHINALUNGON (magbantay kontra)– indi magsambit sang ngalan sang iban nga dios!
  - How do we make sure the names of other gods are not heard on our lips…
  - Paano kita makasigurado nga wala naton ginahamabal ang ngalan sang iban nga dios sa aton bibig…
  - Keeping the SABBATH – a day set aside to remember and spend time with the Lord…
  - Ang pag tipig sang INUGPAHUWAY- adlaw nga ginpain sa pagdumdom kg paghatag sang tion sa Dios….
  - Church does NOT save us – but I have seen how those who do NOT go to church…
  - Ang Simbahan INDI makaluwas sa aton- pero akon makita kon paano kag kon sin-o ang WALA nagakadto sa simbahan….
  - Tend to talk LESS about God – and more about the other things (gods) that fill their life!
  - Medyo DUTAY ang aton pag istorya parte sa Ginoo-kag mas dako sa iban nga mga butang(dios)nga magapuno sang ila kabuhi!
- 3^rd – the FEASTS of Israel… vs. 14-17
- 3^rd– Ang PIESTA sang Israelinhun….. vs.14-17
  - THREE times you shall keep a FEAST to Me in the year…
  - TATLO ka besis mo nga tipigan ang PIESTA sa Akon sa ini nga tuig…
  - Pesach – the FEAST of unleavened bread – PASSOVER – Exodus 12:14-20
  - Pesach- ang PIESTA sang tinapay nga wala sing inugpahabuk -PIESTA– Exodus 12:14-20
  - Shavuot – the FEAST of harvest – PENTECOST – Leviticus 23:15-22
  - Shavout- Ang PIESTA sang pag ani-PENTECOSTES-Leviticus 23:15-22
  - Sukkoth – the FEAST of ingathering – TABERNACLES – Leviticus 23:33-44
  - Sukkoth-Ang PIESTA sang pagtililipon- TOLDA- Leviticus 23:33-44
  - Every Jewish man – over the age of 20 – was required to appear before [הָאָדֹן יְהוָֽה]
  - Ang Tagsa ka Judio nga tawo-sobra sa edad nga 20- kinahanglan nga mag pakita antis
  - The FEASTS both look back to remember an event in Jewish history…

  - As well as prophetically look forward to key events in the plan of God for the world!

  - The annual rains in Israel in spring (later) – then again in the fall (former)

  - The SPRING FEASTS looked forward to the FIRST coming of Jesus…

  - Unleavened bread – representing the taking away of sin – ‘leaven’…

  - First fruits – the resurrection of Jesus on the FIRST day of the week

  - Pentecost – the feast of harvest – the birth of the church – harvest of the world!

  - The idea of first fruits speaks of order – giving to the Lord first – Exodus 22:29

  - To this day Jews will not eat any MILK products with any MEAT products…

  - They actually have TWO different kitchens and sets of serving wear – MILK and MEAT

  - Who is to say the MILK product did not come from the mother of the MEAT!

  - Israel did PROVOKE the ANGEL – Israel complained about the manna – not content…

  - God sent deadly snakes among the people – and many of them died – Numbers 21
  - Ang Ginoo nag padala sang makamamatay nga man-og sa mga tawo- kag damo sa ila ang nagkalamatay- Numero 21
  - IF Israel had OBEYED His voice – and did ALL that He SAID…
  - Kon ang Israelinhun NAGSUNOD sa iya tingog- kag ginhimo ang TANAN Niya ginhambal…
  - God would be an enemy to ALL of their enemies – and CUT them off…

  - God would send the FEAR of Israel before they ever even arrived – so they turned and RAN…

  - God would even go so far as to use HORNETS to fight for Israel!

  - Even today – after winning SEVEN wars – Arabs fear Israel as an undefeatable army!

  - How was Israel to keep from being FORCED to bow down and SERVE other gods…
  - Paano ang mga Israelinhun sa pagtago halin sa PAGPILIT sa pagluhod kag PAG ALAGAD sa dios -dios.
  - By completely OVERTHROWING (piel) them – breaking down their idols!
  - Paagi sa bug-os nga PAGLAGLAG(piel)sa ila – pag guba sang ila dios!
  - FOUR Blessing from the Lord…

  - As you SERVE (sequential) the Lord – because you OVERTHREW the idols of the land…

  - He will BLESS you with bread and water – give DAILY necessities…
  - Siya ang maga BUGAY sa imo sang tinapay kag tubig- magahatag sang ADLAW-ADLAW mo nga kinahanglanon..
  - He will take away your SICKNESS – heal you of ANY disease…
  - Siya maga-ayo sang imo MASAKIT- maga-ayo sang BISAN ano nga balatian..
  - You will not have MISCARRIAGES or barren – blessed with LOTS of kids – Psalm 127:3
  - Indi ka dapat nga NAHULUGAN ukon baw-as- ginpakamaayo sang MADAMO nga mga bata- Salmo 127:3
  - He would fulfill the NUMBER of your days – give a LONG life!
  - Siya ang mag-isip sang imo mga INADLAW- maghatag sang MALAWIG nga kabuhi!
  - Are we worried about the things we NEED – afraid of being SICK…
  - Nagakabalaka kita parte sa mga butang nga aton KINAHANGLANON- nahadlukan nga MAGMASAKIT…
  - Rushing around – busy – no time to spare – no time to SERVE the Lord…
  - Pagdali-dali- pagkasako- wala sing tiun sa pagtago- wala tiun sa pag ALAGAD sa Dios..
  - We are worried and troubled – BECAUSE we did not find time for Jesus!
  - Nagakabalaka kita kag nagamuhan- TUNGUD wala kita tiun kay Jesus!
  - Luke 12:31 – “Seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.”
  - Lucas 12:31-”Unaha ang pagpasakop sa paghari sang Ginoo, kag ihatag gid niya ang inyo mga kinahanglanon
- 3^rd – Little by little… vs. 29-33

  - I will NOT drive them out before you in ONE year…
  - INDI ko sila pagtabugon sa sulod lang sang ISA ka tuig…
  - God would give them the Land promised to Abraham – Genesis 15:18-21
  - Ang Ginoo naghatag sa ila sang Ginpromisa nga duta kay Abraham– Genesis 15:18-21
  - From Red Sea (south) – to Sea of Philistia /Meditaraneo(north) …
  - Halin sa Mapula nga Dagat( south)- asta sa Sea of Philitia/ Mediterranean( north)
  - From to the desert / Euphrates river (east) – to the Nile River (west) …
  - Halin sa desierto/ suba sang Euphrattes (east)-hasta sa Nile River(west)..
  - But if God wiped out ALL the people at once – there would not be enough Jews to fill it…
  - Pero kon gindula sang Ginoo ang TANAN nga katawhan sang hinali- wala kuntani sang damo nga Judio..
  - Therefore – He would not give it to them all at once – just a little at a time!
  - Gani- indi Niya paghatag ang tanan sa ila sang ka isa lang -kundi sa amat amat lang!
  - Often when we think about following the Lord – we see it as a sprint…
  - Kis a kon nagapinsar kita parte sa pagsunod sa Dios- makita naton pareho nga nagapalumba..
  - We measure our walk in terms of hours – maybe days…
  - Aton matakus ang aton paglakat sa gintagna nga oras- basi inadlaw..
  - Yet what we find the journey is more often a marathon – it takes a lot of time…
  - Pero aton makita ang aton pagpanglakaton pareho sa maraton- kinahanglan sang madamo nga tiun..
  - Like the journey from a child to a mature adult – it takes years…
  - Pareho sang pagpanglakaton halin sa bata asta siya nagdako- kinahanglan sang pila katuig..
  - The process of following the Lord takes time – time to grow and learn…
  - Ang proseso sa pagsunod sa Dios kinanglan sang Tiun- tiun sa pagtubo kag pagtuon..
  - But as we keep our eyes on Jesus – we will find we end up right where He want us!
  - Pero kon itulok lang naton ang aton mata kay Jesus- aton lang matalupangdan nga ara na kita kon sa diin ang Iya gusto sa aton!
  - BUT – make NO covenant with the nations you go to conquer…
  - PERU- INDi maghimo sang kasugtanan sa nasyon nga kadtuan mo sa pag-agaw..
  - Lest they make you sin against Me – their gods will be a SNARE to you…
  - Kay basi ginahimuan ka nila sala kontra sa Akon- ang ila dios amo ang maga SIOD sa imo..
  - But Israel did make a covenant with the Gibeonites – Joshua 9
  - Pero ang Israelinhun naghimo sang kasugtanan sa mga taga Gibeonhon– Josue 9
  - As a RESULT – the ANGEL of the Lord came to Israel – Judges 2:1-3
  - Ang RESULTA- ang ANGHEL sang Dios nagkadto sa Israelinhun- Hukom 2:1-3
  - And told them NOW – the nations around you WILL be a SNARE to you!
  - Kag sugua sila SUBONG- ang nasyon nagapalibot NGA maga SIUD sa imo!
  - A bottle of liquor in a corner – not that we ever intend to drink it…
  - Ang botelya sang ilimnon sa pamusod- indi ina naton gintuyo nga imnon..
  - Or the cell phone number of the person – not that we would ever text them…
  - Ukon ang cell phone number sang isa ka tawo- indi lang makapagusto kita text sa ila..
  - In a moment of weakness – it can be SNARE that takes us back into SIN!
  - Sa tiun sang kaluyahon- sila maga SIUD sa imo nga magabalik sa imo sa pagka SALA!
  - It is easy to talk about following Jesus – something very different to really obey Him…
  - Mahapos lang nga maghambal nga nagasunod ka kay Jesus- isa ka butang ang mabudlay nga magsunod sa Iya..
  - We become the people of God – when we walk after and obey Jesus!
  - Kita nangin katawhan sang Ginoo- kon kita magpalangkaton kag magsunod kay Jesus!
4^th – Sealing the Covenant… vs. 1-8
4^th– ginselyuhan ang kahon sang kasugtanan…vs.1-8
- 1^st – Who had access to God… vs. 1-2
- 1^st– sin-o ang makapalapit sa Ginoo…vs.1-2
  - Having completed the FIRST giving of the Law – God called Moses and the leaders to come up…
  - Sa pagtapos sang na UNA nga paghatag sang layi- ang Ginoo gintawag si Moises kag ang mga lider sa pagsaka..
  - The children of Israel could not approach God – could not even touch the mountain…
  - Ang mga kabataan sang Israelinhun indi makapag istorya sa Ginoo- indi gani makahikap sa bukid..
  - God is so holy – so perfect – unholy sinners have NO access to Him!
  - Ang Ginoo tama-an gid ka bulahan- perpekto- indi bulahan nga makasasala ang INDI makapalapit sa Iya!
  - The priests Aaron / Nadab and Abihu / the SEVENTY elders of Israel…
  - Ang pari nga si Aaron/ Nadab kag Abihu/ kag ang SEVENTY ka manugdumala sa Israel..
  - Could get a little closer – but they still had to worship from AFAR…
  - Indi sila makapalapit- pero sila makasimbah sa MALAYO lang..
  - If we are trusting in men to help us get closer to God – we are in trouble…
  - Kon kita magasalig sa tawo sa pagbulig sa aton papalapit sa Ginoo- kita ara sa delikado..
  - Sinful men – no matter how GOOD – are still not GOOD are enough to approach God!
  - Makasasala nga tawo- bisan ano pa ka MAAYO- pero indi sa gihapon MAAYO sa pagpalapit sa Ginoo!
  - Moses who ALONE shall come NEAR…
  - Si Moises langgid Isa ang maka PALAPIT..
  - He was allowed to go up the mountain and meet with God…
  - Siya langgid ang ginpasugtan sa pagsaka sa bukid kag magkipagkita sa Ginoo..
  - He was the mediator for Israel – God spoke to him – he spoke to the people…
  - Siya ang manugpatunga sa mga taga Israelinhun- ang Ginoo nagkipaghambal sa iya- siya ang magkipaghambal sa mga katawhan..
  - Moses is a picture of Jesus Christ – the bridge from sinful man to God – I Timothy 2:5
  - Si Moises isa ka pala anggiran ni Jesus Christ- ang alagyan sang mga makasasala nga tawo pakadto sa Ginoo- I Timoteo 2:5
  - There is no other way to be able to approach God – than through Jesus…
  - Wala na sing iban pa nga paagi sa pagpalapit sa Ginoo- kondi paagi langgid kay Jesus..
  - It is only through Him we have complete access – to our HOLY and PERFECT God!
  - Siya langgid ang paagi nga makapalapit sa Iya- Sa aton BALAAN kag PERPEKTO nga Ginoo!
- 2^nd – Responding to the LAW… vs. 3
- 2^nd– ang pagresponde sang KASUGUAN.vs.3
  - BEFORE going up – Moses told the people all the WORDS of the Lord – Exodus 20-23
  - ANTES magsaka- si Moises naghambal sa mga katawhan sang tanan nga PULONG sang Dios- Exodus 20-23
  - They answered – ALL the WORD the Lord has said – we will CONTINUALLY do (imperfect) …
  - Sila nagsabat- TANAN nga PULONG sang Dios nagsiling- kami MAGAPADAYON sa paghimo( imperfect)
  - That was the right answer – but it was not the TRUTH – the people quickly rebelled…
  - Amo ina ang insakto nga sabat- pero indi ina MATUUD- ang tawo dasig lang magrebelde..
  - Just FORTY days later they would make a GOLDEN CALF – Exodus 32
  - FORTY ka adlaw ang nanligad naghimo sila sang BULAWAN NGA BAKA- Exodus 32
  - The reason – they were giving an emotional response to Moses…
  - Ang rason- sila naghatag sang emosyonal nga sabat kay Moises…
  - The fire / the booming voice of God / the whole scene must have been mesmerizing!
  - Ang kalayo/ ang mabaskog nga tingog sang Ginoo/ ang bug-os nga eksina nangin masinalakon!
  - But an EMOTIONAL response – is not the same as a CHANGED heart…
  - Pero ang EMOSYONAL nga pagsabat-indi pareho sang NAGBAG-O nga tagipusuon…
  - The people were still sinners – the Law of God had NOT changed who they were!
  - Ang mga tawo naga pabilin nga makasasala- ang kasuguan sang Ginoo WALA nagbag-o sa ila!
  - It is EASY to have an emotional response to God – caught up in the moment…
  - MAHAPOS nga may emosyunal nga pagsabat sa Ginoo- nadakop sila sa sina nga tinion..
  - An EMOTIONAL response that says we want to obey the Lord – but the MOMENT passes…
  - Ang EMOSYONAL nga pagsabat naga hambal nga kinahanglan magsunod sa Dios-pero ang TINION naglipas…
  - God is not after EMOTIONAL responses – He is looking for CHANGED lives!
  - Ang Ginoo wala naga paabot sang EMOSYONAL nga pagsabat-Siya gapangita sang PAGBAG-O nga kabuhi
- 3^rd – Sealed in Blood… vs. 4-8
- 3^rd– Nasilyuhan sang Dugo…vs.4-8
  - Moses wrote down all of the WORDS of the Lord …
  - Moises nag sulat ang tanan nga PULONG sang Dios…
  - He then set up an alter at the foot of the mountain – with 12 pillars (one for each tribe)
  - Kag Siya nagplastar sang halaran sa tiilan dampi sang bukid- nga may 12 ka handumanan nga bato(isa sa kada tribu)
  - He then offered sacrifices there – half the BLOOD he splashed against the alter…
  - Kag Siya nag halad sang sakripisyo- tunga nga DUGO iya ginwisisk sa halaran…
  - He then read the book of the Law to the people – AGAIN – they agreed to obey!
  - Kag Siya nagbasa sang libro sang kasuguan sang tawo- LIWAT-nagsugtanay sila sa pagsunod!
  - Moses splashed the other half of the BLOOD on the people – sealing the covenant!
  - Moises nagwisik sang DUGO nga tunga sa mga tawo- pagbaligya sang kasugtanan!
  - The LAW sealed in BLOOD…
  - Ang LAYI nasilyuhan sing DUGO…
  - Hebrews 9:22 – “We can say that according to the Law of Moses, nearly everything was purified by sprinkling with blood. Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.” [NLT]
  - Hebreo 9:22- “Suno sa kasuguan, halos tanan nga gamit sa pagsimba ginalimpyuhan paagi sa dugo. Kag kon wala sing dugo nga gin-ula bilang halad sa Dios wala sing kapatawaran ang sala”[NLT]
  - Because the penalty for sin is death – Romans 6:23
  - Tungod ang bayad sang sala ämo ang kamatayon-Roma 6:23
  - Either we have to die for our sins – or someone has to die in our place…
  - Sa diin kita mapatay sa aton mga sala- ukon may isa nga kinahanglan mapatay sa aton lugar…
  - Under the Law – every time you sinned – an animal had to die to pay your penalty…
  - Sa idalom sang kasuguan- sa tion nga kita makasala- may sapat nga mapatay sa pagbayad sang imo sala..
  - But there was a problem with the Old Covenant….
  - Pero may ara problima sa Daan nga kasugtanan…
  - Hebrews 10:4 – “It is NOT possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.”
  - Hebreo 10:4- INDI impossible nga ang dugo sang mga turo nga baka kag kanding ang makakuha sang ila sala.
  - The Law of God – the sacrifices of the animals – could only REMIND us of our sin…
  - Ang layi sang Ginoo- ang pagsakrepisyo sang sapat- sa pag PAGPADUMDUM sang aton sala..
  - There was NO power under the Law to CHANGE our hearts – make us NOT want to sin!
  - WALA sang gahom sa idalom sang layi sa pag BAG-O sang aton tagipusuon- INDI Siya gusto nga makasala kita!
  - The New Covenant was also sealed in blood and water…
  - Ang Bag-o nga Kasugtanan ginsilyuhan sang dugo kag tubig…
  - At the crucifixion – a soldier pierced Jesus side with a spear – blood and water – John 19:34
  - Sa paglangsang- ang soldado ginpilasan ang kilid ni Jesus sang bangkaw- dugo kag tubig-Juan 19:34
  - Just as Moses sealed the Old – Jesus sealed a new and BETTER covenant – with His blood!
  - Pareho sang pagsilyo ni Moises sa daan- Jesus nagselyo sang bag-o kag mas MAAYO nga kasugtanan-sang Iya dugo!
  - Hebrews 10:1/12 – “The OLD system under the law of Moses was only a SHADOW, a dim preview of the good things to come, not the good things themselves. The sacrifices under that system were repeated again and again, year after year, but they were NEVER able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship… But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for ALL time.” [NLT]
  - Hebreo10:1/12–Ang daan nga systema na idalom sa kasuguan ni Moises amo lang ang LANDONG, dulom sa pagpakita sang maayo nga butang nga maga abot, indi maayo nga butang sa ila kaugalingon.Ang sakripisyo naidalom sang systema liwat liwat, pagkatapos sang isa katuig.   - Jesus came to pay the price for sin – not just covering one sin- but taking away all sin!
  - Si Jesus nagkari sa pagbayad sang aton sala- indi sa pagtabon sang isa ka sala- pero sa pagkuha sang aton sala!
  - And He also CHANGES our heart – so we no longer want to continue in sin!
  - Kag Siya nagaLIWAT sang aton tagipusuon- amo nga indi kita magpadayun sa sala!

- 1^st – SA TIIL sang Ginoo…vs.9-11
  - Moses / Aaron with his two sons / the elders of Israel went up the mountain…
  - Moises/Aaron kaupod ang iya duwa ka bata/ mga liders sang Israelinhun sa pagsaka sa bukid..
  - They saw God – under His FEET appeared to be SAPPHIRE – as clear as the sky…
  - Nakita nila ang Ginoo- sa dalom sa Iya nga TIIL daw pareho sa SAPIRO- katin-aw pareho sang panganod…
  - What exactly did they SEE – since no man can SEE God and live – Exodus 33:20
  - Kon ano gid mismo ila NAKITA- wala gid sang tawo nga NAKAKITA sa Dios kag nabuhi-Exodus 33:20
  - It would appear they only saw the FEET of God standing on the mountain – why FEET!
  - Kon magpakita ang ila lang makita ang TIIL lang sang Ginoo nga nagatindog sa bukid- nga- TIIL!
  - Isaiah 52:7 – “How beautiful on the MOUNTAINS are the FEET of those who bring good news of peace and salvation…”
  - Isaias 52:7- “Daw ano kanami kon makita mo ang mga mensahero nga nagalatas sa mga bukid sa pagsugid sang maayong balita kag sang kaluwasan..
  - The idea of FEET – movement – God came from heaven to meet with Israel….
  - Ang ideya sang TIIL-pag-gihu-Ang Ginoo halin sa langit sa pagkipagkita sa mga taga Israelinhun….
  - And the FEET of God were beautiul – because of the message they brought…
  - Kag ang TIIL sang Ginoo matahum- tungod sang mensahe nga ila gindala…
  - God did not come to DESTROY them – instead He came to share a MEAL together…
  - Ang Ginoo wala nagkari sa PAGGUBA sa ila- kondi Siya nagkari sa pagpalapta sang KALAN-ON sa ila tanan…
  - God was not there to JUDGE men for their sins – He wanted a RELATIONSHIP with them!
  - Ang Ginoo wala NAGHUKOM sa ila mga sala- Ang Iya lang gusto RELASYON sa ila!
  - Just as God came to give us the message of salvation – He also calls us to go…
  - Subong ang Ginoo nagkari sa paghatag sang mensahe sang kaluwasan- Iya gintawag sa paglakat…
  - Romans 10 – “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how
  - shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?”
  - Roma 10-
  - How can people believe – be saved – if we are not out there sharing the Gospel…
  - Paano ang tawo magpati- maluwas- Kon indi kita mag güwa kag mag panugid sang Pulong..
  - We know LOTS of people who do not believe in Jesus – what are we doing about it
  - MADAMO kita Nahibalu-an nga tawo nga wala naga pati kay Jesus- ano ang aton mahimo sini
  - We are called to GO – into our workplace / our families / our back yards…
  - Gintawag kita sa PAGLAKAT- sa aton gina ubrahan/sa aton pamilya/ aton ugsaran..
  - And tell people about Jesus – give them the message of salvation…
  - Kag sugiran ang mga tawo parte kay Jesus- hatagan sila sang mensahi sang kaluwasan….
  - Blessed are our FEET when we bring others the message of salvation!
  - Bulahan ang mga TIIL kon kita magdala sang mensahe sang kaluwasan!

  - The Lord told Moses – come up (imperative) – so I can give you the tablets of stone…

  - Moses and Joshua went up the mountain to meet with God…
  - Si Moises kag Josue nagsaka sa bukid sa pagpakigkita sa Ginoo..
  - SECOND time we read of Joshua – FIRST was the battle with the Amalekites – Exodus 17:9
  - IKADUHA nga tion sa pagbasa sang Josue-UNA amo ang pakig-away sang Amalikinhon- Exodus 17:9
  - Now we see him FOLLOWING Moses – right into the presence of God!
  - Subong makita naton nga siya NAGASUNOD kay Moises- pakadto sa presensya sang Ginoo!
  - We need to be very careful whom we choose spend time with – who we are influenced by…
  - Kinahanglan naton nga mangin mahinalungon sa pagpili kon sin-o ang aton ginaupdan- nga aton na inpluwinsyahan…
  - We all follow the example of someone – leading us either towards or away from God…
  - Tanan kita nagasunod sang ehemplo sang iban- naga magadala sa aton pakadto ukon palayo sa Ginoo…
  - Like Joshua following Moses – we should look for those who lead us to Jesus!
  - Pareho kay Josue nga nagasunod kay Moises-mangita kita sang pwedi nga maka giya saton pakadto kay Jesus!
  - I Corinthians 11:1 – “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.”
  - 1Corinto 11:1– ‘Sunda nyo ako subong nga gina sunod ko si Cristo
  - If any MAN [בַעַל] had problems – Aaron and Hur stayed behind…
  - Kon ang TAWO may problema- Si Aaron kag si Hur nagpabilin sa likod…
  - This is also the SECOND time we read about Hur – FIRST time was with the Amalekites…

  - Aaron and Hur had lifted up Moses arms in the battle – helped bring victory…

  - I am sure Moses thought they would do a GOOD job of watching after Israel…
  - Sigurado gid si Moises bisan naghimo sila sing MAAYO nga obra sa pag banatay sa mga isrelinhun…
  - But the decision to leave them turned out NOT to be a good one…
  - Pero ang resulta sang ila desisyon INDI nangin maayo….
  - Aaron would be swayed by peer pressure – to make a GOLDEN CALF for Israel to worship!
  - Aaron nagdala sang pag ipit sang iya mga kaupod- sa paghimo sa BULAWAN NGA BAKA sa Israelinhun sa pagsimba!
  - The glory of the Lord [כְּבוֹד יְהוָה] descended as a cloud on the mountain…
  - Ang Himaya sang Dios kaliwat sang panganod sa bukid…
  - For SIX days Moses waited – on the SEVENTH day God called out to Moses…
  - Sa ANOM ka adlaw si Moises naghulat- sa ika PITO nga adlaw ang Ginoo gintawag si Moises..
  - Moses went up higher into the mountain – and disappeared into the cloud…
  - Moises nagsaka sa pinakataas nga bukid- kag gintabunan sila sang panganod..
  - To the Israelites – it looked as though Moses entered a consuming fire!
  - Para sa mga taga Israelinhun- nagapakita nga si Moises nagsulod sa kalayo nga nagapang-upos..
  - There are a lot of Christians who BELIEVE in Jesus – but do NOT want to give it all to God…
  - Kadamo sang Cristohanun nga NAGAPATI kay Jesus- peru INDI gusto nga ihatag ang tanan para sa Ginoo…
  - God does NOT ask for a part of our lives – He wants ALL of us…
  - Ang Ginoo WALA nagapangayo sang parte sa aton kabuhi- gusto Niya ang TANAN sa aton…
  - God wants every moment of our lives to be CONSUMED by Him!
  - Gusto sang Ginoo nga ang tagsa ka tiun sa aton kabuhi IUBOS sa Iya!
  - Hebrews 12:29 – “For our God is a consuming fire.”
  - Hebreo 12:29- “Kay kon magsilot ang aton Dios daw sa kalayo nga nagapang-upos”
  - Moses was FORTY days and FORTY nights in the mountain with God…
  - Si Moises nagtiner sang FORTY ka adlaw kag FORTY ka gab-e sa bukid kaupod ang Ginoo..
  - It would be here God would give Moses the instructions for the Tabernacle of God…
  - Mangin yari diri ang Ginoo naghatag sang instruksion kay Moises sa Tolda sang Ginoo..
  - The place where God would meet with His people – His footstool on earth!
  - Ang lugar nga kon sa diin nga ang Ginoo nagkipagkita sa Iya mga katawha- ang palatungan sang Iya tiil sa duta!
  - But it is also interesting that it took FORTY days…
  - Pero ina nangin intersado kay ina nagdugay sang FORTY ka adlaw..
  - The number FORTY in the Bible is a number that relates to trials or testing…
  - Ang number nga FORTY sa Biblia numero nga naga kaanggid sa mga kabudlayan ukon pagtilaw..
  - Noah – rained 40 days & 40 nights / Jesus – 40 days & 40 nights in the wilderness…

  - These FORTY days Moses on the mountain were a test – for Israel!
